Top 5 Food and Drink Apps in the Middle East Q3 2024: Unified Platform Performance

During the third quarter of 2024, the Middle East's food and drink app market displayed varied performance across the top five applications on a unified platform. According to Sensor Tower data, these apps saw different trends in downloads and active user engagement.

Ninja - نينجا from TECH-ADVANCE FOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY CO had a robust showing in weekly downloads, starting at 125K in early July and peaking at 201K by late August. However, the downloads tapered off, ending the quarter at 86K. Weekly active users for the app showed a similar trajectory, starting at 650K and peaking at 791K in late August, before settling at 685K by the end of September.

HungerStation, published by HungerStation LLC, experienced a gradual decline in weekly downloads, starting from 85K at the beginning of the quarter and decreasing to 65K towards the end. Conversely, its weekly active users saw an uptick, beginning at 1.3M and reaching a high of 1.34M by late September.

KFC Saudi Arabia, managed by Kuwait Food Co.(Americana), witnessed a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at 46K and peaking at 65K in mid-September, before settling at 53K. The app's weekly active users followed a similar upward trend, increasing from 215K to 243K before ending at 228K.

talabat: Food, grocery & more from Talabat General Trading and Contracting Company saw a decline in weekly downloads, starting at 60K and dropping to 45K by the end of the quarter. However, its weekly active users showed resilience, with fluctuations around the 750K mark, peaking at 783K in early September.

Jahez maintained a relatively stable download rate, starting at 56K, peaking at 60K in late July, and ending the quarter at 46K. Weekly active users also remained consistent, hovering around 380K, with minor fluctuations throughout the quarter.
